Abstract
The profession of nursing trainer is evolving in response to changes in the healthcare system and in educational expectations. This mixed-methods study, conducted by the CEFIEC over two years, uses a literature review, three quantitative surveys and 159 semi-directive interviews to analyse practices and identify six new trainer profiles. The analysis of real and impeded activities highlights the challenges of pedagogical engineering, coaching, innovation and collaboration. The results underline the need for increased professionalisation and a stronger link between the clinical field and academic training.
