Crafts and digital transitions

Abstract

The aim of our research, which focuses on the woodworking trade, is to understand its transformation in the face of digital transitions, and the ways in which different training institutions are addressing this issue. It is part of a cross-theoretical approach, drawing on internality norm theory to analyze the nature of the determinants of the highly heterogeneous perception of the trade, and on an anthropological approach to didactics, to question the reference knowledge of training courses with regard to the different types of relationship to the digital of training actors and their dynamics. For exploratory purposes, we have adopted a questionnaire survey approach to question the perceptions of digital technology by those involved in training for this profession in transformation.

Keywords: anthropological theory of the didactics, cabinetmaking, digital, internality norm, woodworking.
