Abstract
Apprenticeship-based training inevitably confronts learners with gaps associated with the geography of the system. Dealing with dissonant demands and ultimately forced to adapt to the respective conditions of the two training territories, they understand the expectations and provide for their satisfaction. To do this, they develop strategies aimed at articulating or bringing together the different areas of the craft in which they are training. In so doing, they take ownership of the system and individualize their training, thereby shaping their developing professional identity.
